So far we've covered,
Blood Angels, Chaos Daemons and Chaos Space Marines,
Dark Eldar, Eldar and Grey Knights,
Imperial Guard, Necrons and Orks.
As the whole 'alphabetical order' system seems to be working just fine we'll carry on like that.
Space Marines.
First lets clear up a bit of a misconception. The newer Space Marine variants like Blood Angels and Space Wolves are not better than 'vanilla' Space Marines, they're just...well...different and therefore have their own builds that work well. I have Marine builds that can happily kick the shit out of other Marine books because they're builds that compliment the codex. If a build would be better using the Grey Knights book then that's what I'll use but the fact that I still have 'vanilla' Marine armies that win games should tell you something as I don't play to lose now do I?
Now that I've got that off my chest...
'Best Of' - A concept that was first made popular by Stelek of YTTH that was then stolen by lots of people who claimed to have been doing it that way all along...Some of them actually may have been I suppose, but if they were then they were keeping very quiet about it, lol. Anyway, the idea was to take Marine units that were cost effective and offered both Duality* and Redundancy* and then repeat that idea across your whole army.
* These are all fundamental list building concepts we'll go into later in the series along with a few others that I've mentioned in earlier articles.
The basic format was a Master of the Forge with Conversion Beamer who fortified a building and sat in it with a unit of Camo Cloak equipped Sniper scouts (so they all got a 2+ Cover Save), 3 Basic Dreadnoughts, 2 or 3 Tactical Squads in a Rhino with Multi-Melta + Flamer, Some Multi-Melta + Heavy Flamer equipped Landspeeders and 3 Predators in the cheapo Autocannon + Heavy Bolter configuration. This particular build is still an excellent example of list building at it's finest and is a good example of all the concepts we've been talking about as we've gone along so far.
Biker Armies - Taking a Space Marine Captain or Kor'sarro Khan on a Bike enables us to take Space Marine Biker Squads as Troops. This gives a highly mobile army that can pack a lot of Melta but is quite low on models even at high points values. It also really requires a tooled up, expensive Command Squad if it actually wants to kill anything that's a bit tough as normal Space Marine Bikers aren't what you'd call an assault unit by any stretch of the imagination. The basic template is Biker Captain, Biker Command Squad, Space Marine Biker Squads supported by either Land Speeders or more Bikers depending on your preferences. I've also seen it fielded with two Captains and two Command Squads but that particular army is 'Elite' in the extreme. Both variants are relatively cheap to buy if you use the Dark Angels Ravenwing Battleforce as a basis. Four of the aforementioned battleforces will set you back just over £200 but will give you 24 bikers, 4 Attack Bikes and 4 Landspeeders to build your army out of.
Editors Note : I've just checked and Wayland Games are currently doing the Ravenwing Battleforce for £41.00. Their banner is at the top of my blog so give it a click if your interested ;-)
Dreadnought Spam - The Master of the Forge enables us to take Dreadnoughts in both the Elite and Heavy Support slots giving us the option of taking up to six in total. Most often used to take six Ironclads but has also been utilised to gain access to six 'Rifleman'** or 'Dakka'** Dreadnoughts in the same army. The Master of the Forge/Multiple Dreadnought concept is also a fundamental part of certain 'drop' builds.
** These are the common internet nicknames for a Dreadnought that's replaced both it's arms with Twin-Linked Autocannons as four Twin-Linked S7, AP 4 shots at BS 4 can be pretty scary...
Fast and Slow - A hybrid of the Biker and the Dreadnought builds. The basic idea is that the Bikes zip about killing things and drawing the enemy fire while the Dreadnoughts move forward and punch things when they reach the enemy in later turns. I'm not convinced about the idea myself but I'm told it has been used effectively by other people. If any of them are reading this then feel free to extol it's virtues in the comments section.
Drop Pods - Another army that requires a bit of practice to utilise correctly. The 'Drop Pod Assault' rule enables you to drop half of your army (rounding up) on turn one with the rest arriving from reserves as normal. Drop Pods also have the advantage of not dying if they land on another unit like most 'deep strikers' do, rather they stop just short of whatever they would have landed on...they can still scatter off the board though so be careful ;-)
There are many different 'drop' army concepts though my personal favourite is to alternate between standard Dreadnoughts and Tactical Squads till you reach your chosen points value (including a Master of the Forge once you need that 4th Dreadnought) and then use the Dreadnoughts as an 'Alpha Strike' first wave with the Tactical squads arriving later in support. A Master of the Forge with no upgrades, 6 normal Dreadnoughts in Drop Pods and 5 Tactical Squads (with free upgrades) in Drop Pods comes to 1965 points if your interested. Dropping a Tactical Squad and a Dreadnought and their associated Drop Pods reduces the army by about 250 points so you can easily scale it down if you so desire.
Salamanders - By taking Vulkan in your list, all your Flamers, Heavy Flamers, Meltaguns and Multi-Meltas become twin-linked. Combine this with BS 4 and you have Melta weapons that rarely miss (It's something like an 11% chance of missing I believe) and Flamers that re-roll to wound. This rather cleverly makes your army behave exactly like a salamanders army would, lol. Don't forget to take some long range weapons though or you could find yourself outmanoeuvred or crippled at range by certain opponents.
Razorback Spam and Rhino Rush - Yes they can do these if they like but they are (imo) two of the 'other Marines do it better' builds.
Hopefully the above will have shown you that there's still plenty of life in that particular book. It also contains the 40 point Thunderhammer + Storm Shield armed Assault Terminator which is one of the most cost effective assault unit in any Marine book and arguably one of the most points effective in any Codex...
Editors Note : It's also been pointed out to me via E-Mail that my alphabetical order system has failed by virtue of the fact that I forgot to mention both Black Templars and Dark Angels...I am therefore going to pretend that I intended to cover Dark Angels with Space Marines, sneak Black Templars in the next article with an equally lame excuse and just hope everyone believes my poor attempt at deceit...
Dark Angels.
Dark Angels basically had no build that couldn't be done better by somebody else in Power Armour. The recent FAQ has however created one viable build by virtue of the fact that they now get the 3+ invulnerable save version of the Storm Shield and the two shot version of the Cyclone Missile Launcher. It goes a little something like this...
The Dark Angels Build - Belial, Upgraded Terminator Command Squad with Apothecary, Cyclone Missile Launcher and maybe a Standard Bearer, 3 or more Deathwing Terminator units with Cyclone Missile Launchers and a couple of Ravenwing Attack Squadrons with 2 Meltaguns and a Multi-Melta attack Bike. Everything that can have a Storm Shield gets one, every unit that can take a Cyclone Missile Launcher does so.
If anybody deserves a new codex then it's the Dark Angels as only having one build that works and a load that don't must be pretty annoying.
Space Wolves.
The Space Wolves Codex is another fine example of what wonders can be done with a 5th Edition codex if some thought has gone into it's design. Their Grey Hunters get the 'Chaos' weapon load-out of Bolter, Bolt Pistol and Close Combat Weapon giving them that all important extra attack, in addition they get the 'Counter-attack' special rule so they get the same number of attacks when assaulted (if they pass their Leadership test) as they do when assaulting. This is somewhat mitigated by their lack of a 'sergeant' making them Leadership eight, but even taking that into account they're a bloody bargain.
Wolf Guard can be taken as elites and configured with almost any combination of Marine equipment that you so desire. Additionally, members of the Wolf Guard unit can be attached to certain other Space Wolf units giving the controlling player considerable flexibility in unit configuration. This wide variety of war-gear also extends to your HQ's making them flexible in the extreme...Oh...and you can take four HQ's if you like...
Before this turns into a unit by unit Codex review, lets look at some builds...
Razorback Spam - A Grey Hunters squad in a Las/Plas Razorback costs 150 points, three Wolf Guard with Combi-Meltas in a Las/Plas Razorback costs 144 points and your Long Fang Squads can take them as well. Add in a Rune Priest or two with the 5+ Cover save power (Storm Caller) and at least one with Tempests Wrath in order to annoy deep striking opponents and maybe a Chooser of the Slain or two in order to keep Infiltrators at a safe distance. Twelve razorbacks at 2000 points is enough to annoy most people but certain Tau, Dark Eldar and Imperial Guard builds will still give you a rough time should they be going first.
Cavalry - Thunderwolf Cavalry were another 'broken' unit until people actually looked at their points cost and other limitations and then (most) people shut up about them. That's not to say that they're ineffective because they're still bloody good at what they do. You can almost do a pure cavalry but you'll need to have a couple of Grey Hunters units to hold objectives if you want to win two thirds of the missions. If you take Canis Wolfborn as a HQ then Fenrisian Wolves become troops but are unable to score by virtue of their special rules so you can do an all Cavalry list but you'd need to completely destroy your opponent in Objective games in order to win. The basis of a list like this would be Canis (or a Wolf Lord on Thunderwolf), Iron Priests on Thunderwolf with Cyberwolves, Fenrisian Wolves, some Grey Hunters for objective holding duties and Thunderwolf Cavalry (Obviously). As Games Workshop don't produce a Thunderwolf model other than Canis then you'd have to find a 3rd party who supplied something you could use instead, though I've seen lists using Chaos Horses from Fantasy, Khorne Juggernaughts, converted Elven Lions from the Chariot kit as well as any number of other options.
Loganwing - Logan Grimnar makes Wolf Guard units troops so you can have an army of them if you like. For the most part these consist of Power Armoured Wolf Guard with attached Cyclone Missile Launcher Terminators with various support units but the possibilities for such builds are far to varied to discuss here without starting a new series of articles but it's enough to say that it's an extremely viable possibility for now.
Battleforces - I know that's a dirty word amongst competitive gamers but it's possible to take quite a varied combination of Space Wolf units and still have an entirely viable army as long as you remember to cover the basics.
As I mentioned at the beginning of this section, there's a lot of variety possible with this codex so it's not surprising that it's the basis for many 'Counts-As' armies.
Tau.
Tau only really have one viable build and it's somewhat one dimensional if were being honest. Most Tau armies work by shooting at you and hoping they kill your whole army before you either shoot them dead first or get into combat with them and then kill them dead. It's a running joke at my FLGS (started by me I'm ashamed to say) that if a Tau player is looking at the assault stats of anything in his army other than Kroot then your probably about to win.
The Tau Build - Commander with Crisis Suit, 3 units of Crisis Suits, mandatory unit of Fire Warriors, some Kroot, Piranhas, possibly some Pathfinders and some combination of Hammerheads or Broadsides in the Heavy Support slot.
I've honestly got nothing against Tau. They're an extremely effective army when used correctly but if you want to win games then your army configuration is going to be very similar to every other Tau player who wants to win games...
Okay that's three more done. Just Tyranids, Witch Hunters and Black Templars (that I should have done first but forgot all about) left to cover before we can get stuck into some of the list building fundamentals.
Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.

Completed 'Wolf Scouts' and Some Appropriate Fluff.
Lieutenant Antus looked around the bunker that he’s chosen for this briefing with the same feeling of irritation that had been his almost constant state of mind for the last three days. The fact that it’s use was forced upon him due to it being the only location solid enough to have a meeting without being deafened by the near constant bombardments coming from the base of the traitor Guardsmen they’d been sent to eliminate in no way increased it’s appeal.
Antus had never completely understood why a Marine would put aside his Power Armour and willingly replace it with the Carapace armour that the majority of the Veterans before him wore. Of course that wasn’t strictly true, he understood the necessity of the compromise he just had no desire to make it himself…
Of course the difference between these warriors and the neophyte Scouts that normally wore this type of armour was immediately apparent. These men were completely confident in their individual abilities and had proven them on myriad battlefields across the Imperium. If their demeanours and the Dark Grey cloaks worn by all Night Reaper Veterans were not enough to indicate the difference then their weapons certainly were as they were marked with decorations and kill markings from a dozen campaigns. Chainswords that had tore apart everything from Orks to Eldar, Bolt Pistols of many designs some of them so ancient that they were fed by belt rather than clip, Power Swords that were in many cases Chapter Relics, not to mention the Meltaguns, Flamers and other exotic weapons that some of their number carried marking them as warriors of considerable experience.
“You may have noticed” stated Antus matter of factly “that we are having some issues closing with the enemy…”
Grim smiles appeared on the faces of a few of the Veterans as the Lieutenant continued.
“The terrain is unsuitable for any move forward with our Rhino or Razorback transports and even if they could move over it it’s unlikely they’d get very far before being blown to pieces by the enemies artillery…”
As if to punctuate the point a particularly well-aimed shot landed close enough to the command post to drown out his voice and cause dust to fall from the ceiling.
"...Additionally the Artillery support is protected by Hydra batteries which makes an aerial insertion an equally suicidal proposition..."
A second shot more precise than the first landed directly above their position causing the lights to blink out for a moment and adding another shower of dust to settle on top of the first, several of the Veterans wiped the new layer of detritus from their weapons while awaiting for their leader to continue.
“As I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted” continued Antus “The artillery needs destroying before we can move troops to eliminate the other elements of the enemies force and for that I need your expertise”
“We’ll need to take a particularly circular route to get to that artillery unnoticed…”
The Marine who had spoken was armoured not in the Carapace Armour of the others but rather the normal Power Armour of a full Marine though his weaponry was anything but standard. His left hand wielded a Lightning Claw of ancient design while a Combi-Meltagun of equal if not greater age was clamped to his thigh. He was one of a small number of Marine Veterans whose experience was such that he could keep pace with his lighter armoured comrades without in anyway compromising their stealth.
“How you accomplish your mission I leave entirely in your hands” finished Antus “I just need it done as quickly as possible”
“Not a problem” said the second of the two Power Armoured Veterans “consider it done”
No further words were needed, so Lieutenant Antus left the meeting to ready the rest of his force for an assault knowing with full confidence that by the morning there would be no artillery left to prevent it…
Wolf Scouts and Wolf Guard.
Wolf Scout Unit 1.
Wolf Scout Unit 2.
Wolf Scout Unit 3.
For those of you who are interested they're made from cloaked Sniper Scout bodies, legs and heads with various types of Chainswords and Bolt Pistols from my Bitz box grafted on to appropriate arms and adapted to fit where the Sniper Rifles normally attach. They're painted in the Dark Grey colouring of my other Wolf Guard and Veterans Cloaks with the armour pieces painted in the metallic Blue Chapter colours that I normally use.
I suppose technically they should be called 'Night' Scouts and 'Night' Guard but that would probably create a bit to much confusion for those people unfamiliar with my army concept ;-)

E-Mail In : My Armies.
E-Mail In :
I've seen a lot of stuff on your blog helping other people with their armies and I like the style of your own Custom chapter but you haven't posted anything for ages on what your actually using yourself in games. I just wondered what your building and/or using at the moment.
Oh and greetings from Canada by the way, lol.

I haven't changed the 'Counts As' Space Wolves army list I have been using much at all from when I last posted it. I'm currently working on a bike army and attempting to update my Daemons. I'll repost the lists here for your convenience ;-)

At 2000 points I drop a Chooser of the Slain and add Las/Plas Razorbacks for the Long Fang Squads or twiddle the points of other things around (dropping the Cyclone Wolf Guard does the job nicely) and add 2 more Grey Hunter Squads. The 2 Grey Hunter squads without a Wolf Guard attached to them then become my objective holding units if the rest of the Razorbacks need to move forward.

This is needing a lot more conversion work in order to match the theme of my existing army than I previously imagined so don't expect to see this on the table-top any-time soon.
The bike army is more an excuse to use my Jet-bike Conversions in an army so I haven't made any final decisions about the overall army list yet. It will probably be the standard Captain, Command Squad, Biker Troops, Landspeeder mix that pretty much everybody uses ;-)
Something like this,

This is the list most subject to change as I'll probably be making more concessions to 'theme' than I normally do in order to justify the 'Jetbikes' ;-)
Also as several of my friends have needed to practice against Lash Lists due to them having infantry Grey Knight and Blood Angel Jump Pack armies (and Dual Lash is still fairly common in UK tournaments) I have been using this,

Yes I know it's pretty rubbish but I've had a lot of practice using it so I can still cause people problems with it should I put my mind to it, lol.

The updated Daemon army.

Some Painting Progress
So in between giving out awesome advice, helping out people with army lists, writing guest articles for blog networks and desperately trying to get my followers count above the 100 mark, I occasionally paint some models.....I know it's an action packed life I lead.....
These 'Wolf Guard' are good enough for normal games now and I'm much happier with the new darker grey colouring I've gone with on the 'Veterans/Sergeants/Champions' in my units. The old blue colour was a bit to shiny and bright to fit the armies general theme.
Wolf Guard - Angled View 1
Wolf Guard - Angled View 2
My 'Rune Priest' still needs some highlighting and unit markings. Unfortunately the Chaos Shoulder pad that I've put on the models right shoulder is a bit of an odd shape to put the Night Reapers Chapter symbol on. I may have to put the symbol on the wrong side and his 'I'm a Librarian' rank marking on the other.

Some of you might remember my first attempt at making a Space Marine on Jet Bike to use as a Command Squad guy for a potential Bike army (I have most of the models, just not the inclination currently). Well I tidied that first attempt up a little and gave it a splash of paint and am pleased enough with the result to consider making the other five that the army would need.

E-Mail In : Razorback Spam
E-Mail In :
I like your blog a lot and I figured that it would be easier to get a reply out of you than it would from one of the bigger blogs as they probably get hundreds of stupid e-mails like this everyday and the forums just disagree with one another so much it's not worth asking anything. I really like the idea of lots of Razorbacks but I'm not sure which army to use to make the best of that sort of spammy army. I have a guard army normally so I'll need to buy everything so it doesn't matter which codex I use particularly.
Thanks a lot,
Marcus.
Reply :
Well I hope my small, unpopular blog will be able to help you, lol. The larger blogs that have a reputation for 'list assistance' probably do get a lot of e-mails but most of them will give you a reply if you don't mind waiting a bit. Stelek at Yes The Truth Hurts might come across a bit abrasive but his advice is usually spot-on. Kirby (and team) at 3++ turn over a high volume of e-mail requests so is also a decent place to try as well. I am of course happy to help anybody as well as I quite enjoy the list building process.
First things first though. Razorback lists give up a lot of kill points I'm afraid, but are capable of putting out a ridiculous amount of fire-power. When it comes to Razorback Spam we have a number of choices so rather than pick one for you I'll do a list per codex and you can select the one you like best.

9 Actual Razorbacks, 3 Pseudo Razorbacks in the form of 2 Long Fangs with Missile Launchers firing out of Rhino's and 3 of your Razorbacks contain 'suicide' Melta units. You also have some additional Missile Support from the Landspeeder Typhoons. If you want more Melta swap the Landspeeder Typhoons for either Multi-Melta + Heavy Flamer or Multi-Melta + Multi-Melta ones and spend the points you gain on a Combi-Melta for the Wolf Guard without one and blow the remaining 28 points on whatever you please ;-)

Only 6 actual Razorbacks but with 6 more vehicle hills with equivalent or greater fire-power. The Librarians cast Shield to hopefully give all those vehicles a 5+ cover save.
You have 5 units with double Melta and a single Melta unit that can sit on your objective surrounded by Predators while you move the rest forward in appropriate missions. As all your vehicles are Fast you can move 12" and fire a single weapon or 6" and fire all of them enabling you to advance into or retreat from midfield and maximise your amount of fire-power into your opponent.

9 Razorbacks, 3 Predators, 3 suicide Melta units that also have Sternguard 'we can kill pretty much anything we feel like' ammunition.
You can of course use the Grey Knights codex for a couple of Razorback lists if you like but they work slightly differently and probably require a bit more 'Marine' experience before I think you should consider them. I will of course post them another time if you want me to.
A Final Note.
I'm not sure what the pricing policy is in your own country but here in the UK Razorbacks and Rhino's are exactly the same cost. I'd therefore buy Razorbacks and wouldn't glue the top hatches or doors on. If at the same time you invest in some magnets you can make it so your Razorbacks can become Rhino's, Predators, Whirlwinds or pretty much any other variant of the Rhino chassis with little effort.
Hope that helps.

E-Mail In : 'Pure' Thunderwolf Cavalry list.
E-Mail In :
Love the blog, though my Girlfriend gets twitchy if I look at it of a Tuesday ;-). Anyway, I wonder if you could help me. I want to do a Space Wolf list where everything is cavalry or beasts or as near as dammit as I figure having no vehicles is going to screw over people loaded up on anti-tank. It doesn't have to be the most optimised thing ever but I'd still like to win an occasional game with it, lol. I was also considering using the Khorne Juggernaut models to turn it into a mounted World Eater Berzerker sort of deal but not sure if that's a good idea or not.
Hope you have time to reply to this, You can use it as a blog post if you like. Can you leave my details out of it if you do though.
Reply :
I've left the E-Mail intact but have removed your name from the bottom, If that's a problem e-mail me again and I'll just delete then whole thing and leave the reply bit.
Okay. You can technically do a 'pure' cavalry list but you'd have to completely table your opponent in objective games as having 'Troop' Fenrisian Wolves via Canis doesn't override their 'Can't hold objectives ever' rule I'm afraid. That tabling is a shaky proposition at best and becomes more unlikely when you add in the constraints of a 'themed' list. Because of that we'll have to have a bit of non-cavalry in the shape of Grey Hunters but I'll leave them on foot as per the 'no vehicles' part of your request.
A friend of mine is currently working on a Juggernaut riders list and several other people have also done them so I can see no issue with it if that's the way you'd like to do it. In fact as there aren't any 'official' Thunderwolf models then that might ironically also be the easiest way to do it. If going down that theme I'd still use Chaos Warhounds as Fenrisian Wolves rather than Flesh Hounds though as otherwise it's going to get really expensive.
Okay then. First lets have a look at what Cavalry/Beasts we can actually take,
Well for a start we can stick our Wolf Lord on a Thunderwolf Mount and still equip him in pretty much any way we see fit or we can take Canis Wolfborn who actually comes with a Thunderwolf and as mentioned earlier makes Fenrisian Wolves troops. He also improves the initiative of Fenrisian Wolves and Cyberwolves to five and ups their Leadership to seven because of his Saga of the Wolfkin.
Wolf Guard Battle Leaders can also take Thunderwolf mounts but I can't see why you would want to in preference to a Wolf Lord. The option is there however so I thought I best mention it.
In our Elite slot our only cavalry choice is to put an Iron Priest on a Thunderwolf. He can also take up to 4 Cyberwolves which he'll most likely need as he only has one wound of his own.
The only way to get Cavalry/Beasts in our Troop slots is to take Canis Wolfborn in order to unlock Fenrisian Wolves as a Troop choice rather than a Fast Attack choice. This is only really worth doing if we have a lot of wolves that will be becoming Initiative five but even taking that into account we'll still need some troops that actually score.
Fast Attack is where we find the actual Thunderwolf Cavalry entry and in a list centred around them it's likely we'll be taking three units. That means that if we want to include those Fenrisian Wolves then we have to take Canis.
There are no Cavalry/Beast entries in the Heavy Support section though a couple of units of Long Fangs would help this sort of list out quite a bit. We'll just have to see if our original e-mailer is willing to be a little bit flexible ;-)
So in real terms we have the following choices,
Wolf Lord on Thunderwolf Mount,
Canis Wolfborn,
Wolf Guard Battle Leader on Thunderwolf Mount,
Iron Priest on Thunderwolf Mount,
Thunderwolf Cavalry,
Fenrisian Wolves
and one essential that I'm afraid were just going to have to deal with if the list is going to win objective games.
Grey Hunters.
With those parameters in place I'd do this,
1750 Pts - Thunderwolf Cavalry
HQ: Canis Wolfborn (1#, 185 pts)
1 Canis Wolfborn @ 185 pts
Elite: Iron Priest (5#, 155 pts)

1 Thunderwolf w/ Mark of the Wulfen
1 Thunderwolf Cavalry (Power Fist)
1 Thunderwolf Cavalry
1 Thunderwolf Cavalry (Melta Bombs)
Total Roster Cost: 1750
The Thunderwolf Cavalry are all equipped differently for wound allocation purposes. At 2000 points I'd add in a Wolf Lord on a Thunderwolf Mount (if you want to keep true to the theme) who'll set you back 145 points as a start and then arm him however you feel fit there isn't really a definitive 'Best-Of' Wolf Lord set-up. If your willing to compromise the theme a little then adding in a couple of Missile Launcher armed Long Fang Units would be a solid choice.
Well there you go then.

Long Fangs - That'll Do For Now.
So they now have squad markings, painted bases and have been tidied up slightly. All that remains is to highlight the robes on the Champion/Sergeants/'Split Fire' Guy's but that can wait for a bit. There good enough for the tabletop and that will do for now.....
Lots of Missile Launchers.

I kept to my usual system of using Chaos runes as squad numbers but I've kept the overall look of the markings a bit more like the Traditional Marine ones.
I also tried the 'Grey Knights' with Chaos Backpacks to see how they looked on the unit. I'm not sure if I'm going to do a Grey Knights army at all any-time soon but there's nothing wrong with making the odd unit here and there just for the hell of it ;-)
With the Long Fangs 'done' I think I'll start on tidying up and reconfiguring some of my standard Tactical Squads so they match the overall 'look' of the new units.
Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.

'New' Rune Priest.
So I've started to paint my Rune Priest in the same style as I've been gradually redoing the 500ish* Marines that make up my 'Night Reapers' 2nd Company.
* Yes It's going to take a while, lol.
He needs a shit-load more work done on him but I think this gives the basic idea.
I also finally got around to undercoating a pile of stuff that had been gradually accumulating in size over the last few months.
In other news I've got the 3rd part of my 'Representing the Legions' article almost done so you'll be seeing that at some point this weekend as well as another couple of 'Primarch' posts that will be hopefully be ready soon after a bit of last minute tweaking.
Have a nice weekend ;-)

More Wolf Scout Pictures
Kennedy from 40K for the New Professional asked for some more pictures of my 'Wolf Scouts' so here they are...
Tomorrow I'll be catching up on a few 'list tweaking request' type e-mails that I haven't got around to doing. So If you sent me any you'll probably see them on the blog over the next couple of days ;-)
