Geddit? Part II

I was not shy about my utter dislike of the poster for Grown Ups. I can also honestly say that having now seen the poster out on the street and in cinema lobbies that, yes, it is still horrible and the thought of sitting through that movie feels akin to having rusty nails shoved through my eyelids while staring at an eclipse. I really don't want to see the movie!

Thankfully, one of the good things about being a rational human being is that I can admit when even a movie I feel I will detest does something good. Such is the case with these new posters for Grown Ups. I may think the movie looks like water torture (omggeddit? cause the first poster was on a water slide!), but I legitimately like these posters featuring childhood photos of the five principal actors. I actually laughed at at least two of them. They obviously remind me of the poster for Hot Tub Time Machine, but they're even better because they're not exaggerated for comedy effect. They are real and oh so awful.





So, in conclusion: You can't say I'm just biased towards these sorta things. I can admit when a movie I think looks horrendous does something good with their marketing. If only more were willing to do so...
